Artist: Tamir Samandbadraa Purev

Year: 2018

Medium: Ink and gold on paper mounted on canvas

Dimensions: 140 x 140 cm

"Cloudy Mind" is a monumental exploration of the human psyche and the emotional responsibility of the artist. Spanning a commanding 140 x 140 cm, this masterwork features a sophisticated interplay of traditional ink and shimmering gold.

The piece is a visual manifestation of Tamir’s artistic manifesto, directly inspired by the 19th-century Mongolian philosopher and poet Injinashi. It reflects the core belief that governs Tamir's brush:

“Why should one wield a delicate brush if the intent is not to stir the human’s emotions.”

In this composition, the turbulent landscapes of the mind meets the golden accents that signify the moment of sudden enlightenment, clarity, and the "Gegene" (brightness) within.
